► Summary: Four years after the introduction of the environmental CJIP, the author examines the notion of “public interest” on which it rests. She analyses how it is conceptualised in statutory texts and ministerial circulars, then confronts it with practice through an empirical assessment and a critical analysis of environmental compliance in the agreements concluded between 2021 and 2024.
